This is the piece I did for the foreshortening project. It is done in acrylic paint. I originally wanted to do a more complicated background but I ran out of time and did a larger, more simple one. I really liked how this turned out.

This piece was done in charcoal. I haven't really worked in charcoal befor so I think the piece turned out fairly well. I added the blue high lights to make the piece more intresting.I like how this one turned out.

Papercuts

This is the piece that I did for the paper cutout project. I really do not like how this turned out. This project did not interest me. I think the piece looks too busy.

Encaustic

This is my encaustic piece. The encaustic process was new for me, but overall I enjoyed experimenting with it. When I first started with the project I thought I was going to have a problem with the mirriors looking like they belonged. I resolved the problem by melting the wax arounf the border of the mirrors. I think it worked. I tried to make this piece as shiny as possible so I used the mirrors and aluminum foil. I also put shiny beads into the wax. I really liked how this piece turned out, but it I were to do this project again I would have redone the image transferrs.

Analytical Cubism

This is the piece that I did was for the cubism project. This is an example of analytical cubism. This was this was the first I have done in pencil in a longg time, but I think it turned out fairly well. This piece is 8x10

Synthetic Cubism

This is my piece for the cubism project. This piece is an example of synthetic cubism. I really like the color scheme that I used. I decided to use a peacock feather because I think they look fancy. I really like how this piece turned out. There is nothing I would change.

I did this piece for the after dinner prompt. I think it turned out really good. The lighter parts on the picture are words that spell out what type of vegetable it is.

This is my fourth piece for the summer. The prompt that I chose was the inside of my closet. I did thid piece around the idea of cubism. I really like how this turned out it is my favorite so far!

This is my 3rd piece I have done this summer for ap art. The medium that I chose was oil pastel. I liked how the top part turned out but the bottom looks kinda weird.I liked using the oil pastels because I could blend the colors well. Over all I like the picture.

These are my two hands that I drew for AP art. The medium that I chose was pencil. I like how both hands turned out but I like the one on with the sunglasses better. I think it looks more realistic. I think I need to work on drawing the portions of the fingers and palms more and maybe working on my shading. But over all I think they turn out well considering I haven't drawn in a year, because everything I did in Art 3 was abstract.

This is my first summer piece for AP art. I did the architectural form prompt. This is the Sydney Opera House in Australia. I chose this building because it is know for its architecture. My painting didn't really turn out like i hoped it would. But I do like how the building is kinda abstract. I feel that I could have created more depth in the picture. I used acrylic paint, but it was hard to work with because the paint was very watery. I the next time I will buy a higher quiality of paint. Overall the picture looks good, but I feel that it could have looked better.

This is my Polyptych! I dont really liked how this turned out especially cause it took my so long to complete it! The only thing I like is the brown line going through the pieces.

This is my Diptych I did. I call this Giraffe because it looks like a giraffe. I used textured paint to create the texture. Then I used acrylic paint. I really like how this one turned out. Mary Capan's work inspired me to create this.

This is my poster that I did for the wizard of oz. I don'tlike this piece because it looks too plain. I didn't plan this out well which is why it looks the way it does. The only thing I like is the background. It is done in watercolor and rubbing alcohol.

This is an altered book page that I did for " too late". The theme of this page is "too late to turn back time". Out of all my altered book pages, this is my favorite. I like how the spray painted date turned out and I like how the wheat glued to the page added texture. My favorite thing is the civil war photo on the right side. That is why I choose to do the date 1861 because that is when the civil war started.

This is a page I did in my altered book. The theme was " My car in 2030". The different colors of paper on the right side represents the colors used in my car. I wrote the words water and air to say that cars will be ran on water and air in the future and the recycle sign just shows that earth would be a better place if cars were ran onwater and air.

I did this piece last year in my art 3 class. My medium was chalk pastel which I normally do not use, but I liked how this turned out. I found a picture of this house and decided it had character and drew it.
I had decided to do a monocromatic piece, so I was looking through a bunch of pictures and found these boats. I liked it because I knew I could show the different shades of blue in the grass. I was very pleased with how this turned out. This was one of my favorite pieces last year.
This is a piece that I did last year. The assignment was to draw the back of someones head so I drew Elizabeth's head. I really like how this turned out. It was even put into a gallery in downtown.
